Yesterday was a big day!
Went to see Dr Doner at ADC. He is a medical oncologist and was to have been administering chemo for me. He said he couldn't do anything for me since I don't have insurance. So I will be talking to the folks at Shivers in Austin and also MD Anderson in Houston to see if they can help me.
Last night Alexandra graduated from Anderson and the ceremony was held at the Erwin Center. I'm so proud of her for making it through. My mom and dad were there and also Alex's mom and other members of our family. It was quite beautiful.

Hang in there RJ, a path will reveal itself!

Hey RJ,
I wrote to my beloved oncologist, Southwest Regional Cancer Center (MD Anderson affiliates here in town), and asked him for suggestions. His reply;
"Several options- if he lives in Travis County, he may be able to get on the MAP program and be treated thru the clinic at Brackenridge.
He may be eligible for Medicaid, or he may be eligible for the Texas High Risk Insurance Pool.
He needs to sit down with a good social worker to go over these options and help him start filling out paperwork- has he seen one yet?"
